TRAINING FOR ALL LEVELS FROM PONIES ON UP

At SMT we nurture the importance of sportsmanship, safety, horsemanship, and learning and believe this will allow our riders to achieve their goals. We provide a complete full training program as well as introductory instruction for those just starting. SMT also offers a selection of sales horses and lease options and will pair the rider with the horse to meet their desired goals.

SMT’s training program also provides for the development of select young horses. We have produced results ranging from national medal final wins to numerous hunter championships

SMT prides itself in the highest quality instruction and safety at all levels of riding. While our primary focus is competitive riding, our full time training staff can also accommodate those riders who enjoy lessons at home. Our show schedule is tailored to meet the needs of our clients; from local county horse shows to International derbies our small size and exceptional staff allow for a top of the line boutique riding experience. We believe that a consistent training program paired with top of the line equine therapies will keep our horses preforming at their best.

San Marcos Training makes its home at Marabella stables, an elite 10 acre equestrian estate nestled in the foothills of Montecito. The exclusive property boasts arenas with state of the art footing, 12 large box stalls, 20 oversized bedded paddocks, grass turnouts, miles of scenic trails and a complete staff. Our horses receive uncompromised daily care, custom nutrition, and the best in veterinary and shoeing.
